  WTS Official Spin on monthly Awake: 'More emphasis on the Bible!'

  the march 2005 kingdom ministry brings up a full article about the awake only being published once a month, starting january 2006. .

  but the fun thing is the roundabout way this change is announced.

  knowing that the news would be a bitter pill to swallow (there should be a 'speeding up' of the preaching work, not a downsizing), the watchtower only announces the move to monthly publishing by the end of the article.

  the wt just finished spending $100's of millions setting UP these NEW SUPER FAST PRINTING MACHINE'S WORLD WIDE. so they could print more mag's and books. now they cut back ?????????????? sounds like a rudderless ship. with some of the projects they are getting involved in , seems they are just dumping $$$$$$$$$ in the fire. could it be some at bethel are looking to bankrupt the org?????? john

  i am, right now, watching vh-1's history of the jacksons and in particular, the charges filed against him.. they just showed how mrs. jackson became a devout jw, showed the kh, and a few wt mags.

  then, without expecting it, there was bill bowen!

  talking about the epidemic of abuse in this church.

  Name the cuts the WTS has made in the last decade to save $$$

  in light of the well placed speculation of the awake going from bi-monthly to monthly publication, all arrows seem to point to the wts attempting to consolidate their operations to save $.. as metatron has stated, it looks like a death spiral for the wts.

  maybe that's overstating it, or maybe it's closer to the truth.. here are some items i can think of that the wts has done in the last 10 years to save $no more subscriptionselimination of food service at assemblies and conventionshardcover 192 page books moved to softcoverprinting more items [name badges, dc programs, etc..] in two color instead of 4 color processselling the furman building in brooklyn heights.

  an era in the ex-jw history is over.

  kent steinhaug's site http://watchtower.observer.org is being shut down.. it was the first of it's kind, and to this day probably still the largest anti wt site on the net.

  the only thing i know how to do with a computer is point and click. and one of the first sites i ever clicked on was wtobserver. had me clicking for months. a lot of his info is found no were else. count me in for $50 NO PROBLEM. JOHN

  i heard jeff, on a radio show abbout a year ago. and even called in. he's very knowledgeable about the jw's and exposes the wt as well as any one here. i'm sure Jeff will do a professional job, and inlighten any uninformed householder that may be watching. in stead of bitching that he's a catholic. we should be calling in to the program and help him. john

  Only One Religion's WebSite Ignores the Desaster in South Asia

  to whatever religion's website you surf, all have a comment on the tsunami in south asia: be it catholic, protestant, adventist, mormon, new apostolic or whatever.

  they try to give comfort and encourage people to donate for the suffering people there.

  but if you go to http://www.watchtower.org or http://www.jw-media.org there is no mention of it (at least by now).

  just for the record. the wtbts did NOTHING, A BIG FAT 0 NADA. ON OR AFTER 9/11. THE BETHELITES WERE NOT HANDING OUT SANDWICHES, AT THE FOOT OF THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE, THE BETHELITES WERE NOT DOING ANY RELIEF WORK AT GROUND ZERO. THE BETHELITES WERE NOT PREACHING AT GROUND ZERO. THE WTBTS DID NOTHING , ZERO, EXCEPT LOcK THIER DOORS, which is about 20 blocks from the brooklyn bridge, heading back to the water front. their amy have been some local jw's that work for the fire dept, or other city agencies etc. that did do something. but NOT $1 CAME OUT OF BETHEL.   notice that the "star" is held in awe ... some sort of an object that satan himself caused to glow in the dark in order to cause the premature death of jesus.

  schizim: you should read matthew chapter 2 closely. you will see it was the jewish leaders, who first told herod about the star. and how it was forfullment of prophecy. IT WAS NOT THE MAGI. THE MAGI ONLY TOLD HEROD ,WHEN THEY SAW THE STAR. and never returned to herod. only the wt would say it's wrong to follow in the foot steps, of the angels, shepherds, magi etc.in celebrating , worshipping the birth , of christ the prophecied lord and savior. jesus. christ. simple bible truth , that only DOPES, AND HATERS, OF GOD'S KINGDOM IN HEAVEN , WHICH THE LEADERS OF THE WT KNOW THEY WILL NEVER SEE..   wow the lady gave the jw a can of corn. ROFL. that would be a good idea , when jw's come around give them a can of food , and tell them to give it to the poor and hungry. john
